Project Summary

The Rechargers supported Kople, a prominent EV charging provider in Norway, by optimizing their IT infrastructure, supporting the selection of a new CPMS, and thoroughly preparing for its seamless implementation. Together, we ensured a smooth transition to their new cutting-edge EV charging platform, Driivz, marking a significant stride towards advancing sustainable mobility solutions in Norway.

The Rechargers’ Contribution

The Rechargers’ expertise in optimal IT infrastructures for EV charging helped Kople define its future IT strategy. There was need for a chargepoint management system that could support Kople’s wide range of EV charging services and their further expansion in Norway. Our EV Charging Platform Benchmark was applied to assess the fit of a range of CPMS vendors with Kople’s functional requirements. Driivz came out as winner. In addition, a new PSP (payment service provider) needed to be selected, for which Nets proved to be the best fit.

The implementation project that followed was executed in close collaboration between Kople, Driivz and The Rechargers. In preparation for the migration, all necessary integrations were set up and the Driivz environment was configured to Kople’s needs. The Rechargers ensured a quick and clean implementation, thanks to our proven Migration Project Plan, perfected through experience in CPMS implementations.

Project results

The project went live on June 5th of 2024. The overnight migration was executed in a limited time window with less than 15 minutes of charger downtime, ensuring a minimal impact on EV drivers. The launch of Kople’s new app (Driivz app) saw an immediate spike of 300+ newly registered drivers within the first day.

With the implementation of Driivz as their new fully operational CPMS platform, Kople is prepared to expand its operations across the Nordics, equipped with enhanced real-time oversight and management capabilities for its charging infrastructure. This transition ensures a continuous enhancement in the charging experience for Kople’s drivers, further solidifying their commitment to sustainable mobility.
